RWT hit the tarmac and clocked up some noticeable miles over the past week or so, embarking on journeys across the country to pick up and drop off an array of stunning vehicles. Among the highlights was the retrieval of a Green Caterham 7 from Guildford, transported to Warminster for asbestos testing. Following the testing process, there will be another journey to collect it before its onward shipment to Australia.
Vintage vehicles also took the spotlight, with a 1930 Crossley and a 1928 Rolls Royce acquired from the recent NEC classic car show auction. These were transported to Salisbury for asbestos testing before being exported out of the country.
Another standout was the collection of a beautiful Nissan Skyline from the Isle of Wight, destined for its new owner in Oxford.
The route from Oxford to Warminster was taken to pick up the Caterham 420R, eventually delivering it to Wakefield for its voyage to Australia. An overnight hotel stay preceded an early morning journey to Kingston Upon Hull to acquire yet another vintage vehicle, a 1912 Rover 12hp, which was then delivered to Salisbury. The week concluded with the collection of a 1912 Darracq 10hp, also transported to Salisbury for asbestos testing.
With these and various other impressive vehicles collected and securely delivered across the UK, it was time to return home and indulge in some well-deserved relaxation. Perhaps, instead of leisurely downtime, it did involve a bit of gardening maintenance using the digger. Happy days!
